ADT Academy Privacy Policy

American Dream Trading LLC ("ADT," "we," "us" or "our") operates from Virginia, United States, and provides trading education, community membership and related tools. This notice explains how we handle personal information on ADT Academy (americandreamtradingacademy.com). It supplements the ADT Privacy Policy, which is the authoritative ADT privacy notice for ADT services; if they conflict, the ADT Privacy Policy controls.
Information we collect
- Account and sign-in: your email address if you sign in with an emailed code, or, if you choose Discord sign-in, the identifiers and profile information made available by the requested permissions (such as your Discord ID and username). Permission to access an email address is not permission to send marketing.
- Learning activity: lessons started and completed, quiz answers and scores, streaks, badges and certificates.
- Certificate name: the first name and last initial you choose to show on certificates.
- Consent records: your confirmation that you are 18 or older and have read the Risk Disclosure, and whether you opted in to reminder emails, with the time.
- Technical information: IP addresses, browser and device information, pages used, timestamps, and security and error logs, and local-storage identifiers.
How and why we use information
To provide your Academy account and lessons, save progress, issue certificates, prevent fraud and abuse, send necessary account and security notices (such as sign-in codes), send educational emails only when you have opted in, and understand and improve the Academy. We do not sell personal information for money.
Providers
We use service providers for hosting, databases, authentication, analytics and security: Supabase (database, authentication and sign-in codes), Vercel (hosting and cookieless Vercel Web Analytics page-view statistics), Google (its Gmail mail server sends sign-in code emails and, only if you allow optional analytics, a separate Academy Google Analytics property measures aggregate page visits and campaign tags), Discord (if you use Discord sign-in), and Cloudflare Turnstile (a bot check on email sign-in, which processes browser and device signals to tell people from automated abuse). Google advertising signals and ad personalization are disabled. Their own notices describe their practices.
Public certificates
If you claim a certificate, anyone with its link can see the name you chose, the lesson or course and the date. Certificate pages are marked not to be indexed by search engines. We may revoke certificates issued in error or through abuse, and you can ask us to remove yours.
Retention and deletion
We retain information for the period reasonably needed for the purposes described here. Academy database backups are kept for 30 days. You can request deletion as described on Your Data. Unsubscribing from marketing and deleting an account are separate actions.
Your privacy rights and requests
You may contact us to request access, correction, deletion or a portable copy of your personal information, or to raise a privacy concern. Virginia residents have the rights described in the ADT Privacy Policy; we respond to authenticated requests within 45 days and may extend by another 45 days when reasonably necessary. To appeal a decision, contact us with the subject "Privacy appeal"; we provide a written decision within 60 days, and if the appeal is denied you may complain to the Virginia Attorney General. Rights under other state, EEA or UK laws apply where those laws apply.
Security
We use administrative, technical and access controls intended to protect personal information, including row-level security so each person can read only their own Academy records. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Children's privacy
ADT services, including the Academy, are intended for adults aged 18 and older. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate steps, including deletion where required.
